We are open all year round with free parking and access to hiking trail “Sörmlandsleden” by the door, as well as biking trail “Näckrosleden” and equestrian “Ridled Sörmland”.

Royal shopping grounds that dates back to the vikings

On the Royal grounds of Stenhammar castle in Flen you find Lida Gård, a red barn full of shopping, delicious Swedish food and Fika.

After a donation, the Swedish state became the owner of Stenhammar castle. It has been leased since 1965 by HM King Carl XVI Gustaf. Today, modern agriculture and forestry are conducted on the property. Like many larger estates, there is also a large building stock (about 150 buildings) that requires extensive maintenance.

One of theese buildings is Lida Gård where this family own business is situated. Burial grounds at the premises witness of a shopping place that dates back to the Viking age.

Hiking in Flen

Take a stroll by Royal Stenhammar Castle (2 km from us), encounter our nature trail for kids and adults, play in “Emils Snickarboa”, and say hello to our sheeps who live here during summer.

A popular hike is ”Lidarundan” – 8 km on mostly gravel roads around lake Gårdssjön, passing Stenhammar slott and Flen. Enjoy the beautiful nature of Södermanland. ”Lidarundan” is accessibility adapted.

Restaurant & coffee all year

We make and bake all food and pastry from the ground with a lot of love and Swedish local raw products. Welcome to enjoy our à la carte, lunch, sandwiches and traditional Swedish  fika.
